The Zweirad-Industrie-Verband is the national lobby and service provider for the German and international bicycle, e-bike, component and accessory industry. As an industry association, it represents around 95 member companies vis-à-vis legislators, government, authorities, media, institutions and organizations
The aim of the project was the visual and technical revision of the website in order to present the public and the members of the association with a refreshed website that is more in line with the corporate identity of the association. In addition to the public website, the closed member area was also to be adapted.
Based on the current world of images and brochures, we created layouts for a retouch and implemented it based on the existing TYPO3 system. This resulted in a minimalist design, which almost completely dispensed with images and instead works with large areas in shades of blue and grey. These are placed in a strict grid, which is broken up by smaller label elements. This creates a modern and tidy overall impression that is neither too strict nor too playful.
The menu was implemented as a burger menu on all devices, following the "mobile first" approach, which further contributes to the tidiness of the site. In addition, we subjected the TYPO3 installation to recent updates.
